R2 NIGHT OF THE GENERALS release
 

I see that this excellent World War II drama is now available on a R2 DVD from Amazon.uk. From what I can see it is anamorphic widescreen. Does anyone know how the picture and sound quality is, has it been cut, etc.? In other words, providing one already knows and likes the film, is this edition worth ordering?

(PS checked the usual sources, no luck)

I don't have any info on the UK disc but I believe that both the French and the UK discs use the same source/print. Solid picture quality...recommended.

This is an absolutely awesome film! I had a ratty VHS copy many years ago but have since lost track of it. This is a must have disc for my collection.
