Manhunter--UK 2 Disc (Momentum)

I was wondering if anyone had this, how is the picture quality on the director's cut?

Thanks!

All versions of the "Director's Cut" emanate from Anchor Bay's transfer found on the R1 DiViMax disc.

Currently, my favorite copy of the movie is the R2 Japan theatrical cut.

I'll have to check out that Japanese DVD of the Theatrical Cut.

I have to admit the cover and menus for the Momentum 2 disc are awesome .

It's rubbish.

Get the MGM French, Italian or Japanese real cut for the film and any of the cheap US/USA discs for the extras.

There is only one true cut of the film and the director needs shooting for doing a George Lucas and inserting/removing material. The ending of the DC is one of the most disgusting things I've seen done to a film.

I've never seen the director's cut. What's so bad about the new ending? And what was added/removed?

Cheapest/best online source for this (for those in the U.S.?)

I just checked CDJapan and they list it as out of print, unfortunately. HMV still shows it in stock, though:

1565 yen converts to about $15, though the shipping will probably be expensive.

I've got a copy of the MGM French disc I'd like to get rid of.

Just to follow up, my disc arrived today (exactly 2 weeks from the order date. Not bad!). So, HMV does have them available and is shipping them out reasonably quickly.
