Pioneer DVR-107D - subtitles won't turn off
Hi
I have a Pioneer DVR-107D http://www.pioneer.co.uk/uk/product_...onomy_id=43-92
I cannot turn off subtitles on all DVD's and on any software. I have tried turning them off in the options menu's on the software and on the actual DVD itself, but as soon as i play the DVD they come back on automatically. The same thing has happened on windows media player, realplayer and some others.
I am using Windows XP Pro.
If anyone can help that would be great
Matt

Hi
No they arnt burned onto the DVD. They are various titles i have bought from play.com. All the correct region.
I've just tried plugging in my other dvd writer and the same thing is happening so it doesn't appear to be a hardware issue.
How annoying!

Tough luck!
A last tip from me is to try the VideoLAN client from www.videolan.org
If that won't work let some friends play the discs on their equipment to ensure that it is the disc itself or a software/firmware problem.
I hope you can find a way, because there's nothing more peeving than subs uncalled for!

I'm having this exact same problem. It's extremely annoying. The subtitles are set to off in whatever I play the dvd in, and if I were to turn those on, there is a 2nd set of the same subtitles. Does the same thing whether I play the dvds from my dvdr or just my regular dvd player(in my pc). If I play it on my dvd player in my den, no problem, subtitles aren't there. I think this is some kind of hidden setting in windows somewhere...this is driving me nuts
