Has anyone seen the German DVD of Nils Gaup's 'Pathfinder' (Ofelas)? [Screencaps!]

I hit Google every now and then, looking for Pathfinder on dvd, and whaddya know:

http://www.amazon.de/exec/obidos/ASI...932405-5432824

2.35:1, anamorphic, original language soundtrack, sounds great! Has anyone actually seen the disc? This film is definitely an overlooked gem.

Guess not

At any rate, I ordered one from http://www.jpc.de . I'll post again with my reactions, but it'll be at least 2 weeks, if not longer, before I get it.

Got it!

Only had to wait 9 days, not bad!

Points of interest:

-2.35:1 anamorphic, first time on video
-Original soundtrack intact
-Very good English subs
-Nearly blemish-free transfer
-Selectable English menus

I don't want to over-hype anyone, or make it seem like the second coming, but if you're willing to go out of your way for a well-made and little known action flick, I encourage you to check out PATHFINDER.

I hope you do.

When a good movie like this is virtually unknown to the audience that would appreciate it, you really want to go to bat for it, and that's the case here.

Thanks a million........

My mate has been looking for this on DVD for ages. He's just ordered it from the German site so hopefully it will arrive pretty soon. Not only have you made an old (relatively) man happy, but you've also put my 'netcred' up a couple of notches!

All I have to do is persuade him to lend it to me when it arrives........

Amazon seem to be struggling to get stock of this. Looks like the end of January.

It's got a UK release in July from Universal and it should be the same transfer (hence the English menu option).

For those looking to fill their German shopping trolleys and spread the shipping costs check out Lost Highway (great transfer and it's on special), Convoy (anther great transfer and the only uncut version) and Picknick am Valentinstag (Pinic at Hanging Rock -this has a seriously sumptious transfer. Not much on the extras but that anamorphic transfer beats every other release easily).
