I couldn't see paying for ye olde quartze sunnedialle so I just ordered the R3 edition (extended unrated director's cut) from CD Wow for $16.95 (after a $2.00 off coupon) for the DTS.

Thanks to the OP for pointing out the DTS in R3.

Anyone else know where I might be able to get this? I know that I can get it from DVDetective, but I always get hit with customs. I am thinking about taking a chance with another etailer.

Did anyone pick this up? I was interested in getting the normal release, for the DTS track.
The question I have, is how is the Saxon subtitles handled? If you don't have english subtitles selected, will it put up english subs for the Saxon dialect?

Dunno about that flashburn but I can tell you there aren't many extras. There's only the making of the photo gallery and the alternate ending w/ commentary. The case is pretty big but I only paid about 40 bucks for it here. 66 is one hell of markup.

I don't care about any of the extra's, just the DTS track. I rented it, and liked it, but thought I would get the R3 for DTS. KoreanDVDS (and DVDHeaven) show a disc only release for around $20.

pat, could you possibly check your copy when you get the chance?

Thanks

He was talking about the regular 1 disc, not the one with the watch.

Thanks Bill!

Now if only someone who has it could answer the question about subtitles.

Not quite sure what to say to that set, pointless to the point of silly, but I guess people bought it still. I wish they had picked some items to do with the actual film and I would have got it, one of the oddest sets I have seen really.

I ordered it. I really liked the movie, and wanted the DTS version. I got it for a decent price so I am happy. It sure is a weird set though.

Got it!

Haven't watched it yet. Busy travelling for work, and got a couple of DVDs in line to watch, like this one and House Of Flying Daggers LE.
