And don't forget that ugly face logo that pops up every couple mins.

There's nothing wrong with the box itself except that the original announcement mistakenly proclaimed that it would be "wooden" when it's not. As far as DVD boxes go, it's as good as any other and looks nice on the shelf. The disc holder isn't great, but there's enough room to put a regular case inside. For $25, I'm not at all disappointed.

That booklet with the Phillipine LE Troy looks a lot like the booklet coming with the Korean set.

JR, i think coming from the same region, it's understandable that they share the same contents except for the packaging and post cards which would be exclusively available when you buy the LE set in stores.. you may want to check the above link for further details..

i have ordered both releases (Korean and Philippines). both are really collectible..

Peace

I'm just now looking to getting a region free player and have 1 question. Is it safe to assume the "big" titles are usually in English with an option to turn on foreign subtitles?

Mostly I'm interested in the Dances with Wolves and Band of Brothers sets. Those are killer.

Yup, they're in English. The only problem with Dances is Wolves is that the parts where indian is spoken is not subtitled in English, instead, there are no subs. Unless of course, you turn on subs for the movie.

No problem, glad I could help. The BoB set is pretty spectacular. Both my wife and I sat down and went through it, it's an incredible box-set. The only downfall is the book that comes with it is in Korean, but the images contained in the book are worth a thousand words.
