"Slap Her, She's French!" available on NTSC dvd?

Hello,

I recently re-watched (First saw in 2002) the movie "Slap Her, She's French!", a great comedy starring Piper Perabo that looks like it will never come out in theaters here in America (see Here for more information on why not)

I was wondering if anyone knew if it was available on NTSC dvd anywhere?

I found a PAL UK dvd here, but I hate doing PAL-> NTSC conversions, and I'd just rather have it in its original format.

For those of you who haven't heard of this movie, you can see the trailer here.

I couldn't find it in NTSC anywhere, nor did I see any projected release dates, so I picked up the R2 PAL release on ebay a few months back.
It can be had there cheaper than most of the UK online shops.

I got the UK R2 DVD, mainly because I was curious as to why it was being delayed. Piper Perabo was on Letterman in the summer of 2002 plugging it, yet it never opened.

The film had a couple laughs, but, judging by the news in that link you had above, I don't think they could recoup the money that they would invest for advertising it. Not THAT funny, and Perabo isn't enough of a star to open the film.

I remember seeing the trailer for this here in the US a long time ago, and then poof, it never came out... there must be a good and logically answer to the 'un'release status of this

I bought a region 2 copy out of curiosity because it was filmed in the town where I live (The Colony, TX). My opinion is pretty much in synch with moviezzz: engaging little film with some laughs, not a classic by any means, but deserves a region 1 release.
