Pulp Fiction R1 CE?

Does Pulp Fiction R1 CE have an improved video transfer compared to R2 SE or R4 SE? Or are they the same expect DTS and bonus features?

So is R1:CE's anamorphic identical to R4's anamorphic?

I believe so. If they were not, the distinction would have been noted by dvdcompare.net, though if DVDBeaver.com were up and running you'd be able to see screen grabs from both to do your own comparison.

Alright man, thanks for the help though. Might as well just buy R4 at the shops rather than shopping for R1 CE on the net.

The Korean R0 is better looking than the R1 CE.

I've been looking for the Korean Region 0 but it seems to be out of print and I can't find it anywhere.

I still can't believe how the Korean R0 release turned out so much better looking than the R1 CE. I didn't know PF could look so good. I bought the R1 CE after getting the R0 and hoped it would be the same transfer, but nope. I've held on to it for the special features only. Anyway, you could try Ebay. It's a single amaray style case, with the second disc holder. It also comes with a slip cover.

Apone, the UK R2 transfer is much, much better than the R4 (an ex-owner of the R4 speaking). If you don't mind the slight re-framing, it's the best buy, being heavily discounted at the moment.

It's not cut, it has been reframed as he mentioned in his post.

What does reframed mean?

Yes, we don't see the needle piercing skin. They have zoomed in on the left of the image so that we only see the arm and the back end of the needle.

And you don't think this qualifies as a cut?

No, because no frames were removed from the scene (it is censored though ). It makes it easier for the slightly squeamish (i.e. me) to watch.

http://www7.cd-wow.com/promotion.php...efcode=12600_1 is a 1.50 quid link.

Pulp Fiction after link is 6.49 quid ($NZ17.80 or $A16.66). It makes it awfully hard to justify spending more for the R1 for c. 1.5 seconds of re-framing at twice the price, or the R4 with its now very poor transfer and lack of extras...

Fair play, Samuel. Things like that bother me big time though, plus I already have the R1 CE. It didn't cost that much either, depends where you shop
