Heart Of The Dragon - UK Region 2 HKL Review

We now have a full review of Hong Kong Legends' August 30th release of the Jackie Chan / Sammo Hung vehicle Heart Of The Dragon. You can find the full review here.

Snippet:
Heart Of The Dragon will be a bit of a change for many Jackie Chan fans, and this may or may not be a good thing, depending on your point of view. A change of pace from the regular Chan vehicles, the film for the most part drops the action in favour of a more dramatic approach, with both Chan and Hung putting in some pretty restrained performances. That said, when the action does pick up, it doesn't disappoint, with some typically impressive acrobatics.

The technical presentation of this disc is a bit of a let down after some of Hong Kong Legends' previous sterling efforts. The image isn't atrocious, but does leave a lot to be desired, as does the fairly uninvolving soundtrack. Fortunately the extras, though on the light side, are of a high enough quality, with another excellent Bey Logan commentary, a couple of high quality interviews, and some extra snippets of action all making this worth picking up, especially when it can be found for less than a tenner.
