Good French Reccomendations?

I'm looking for some good, recent (as in the last 2-3 years) french films.

I want some lesser known gems - stuff that would most likely only be available by import.

Thanks.

most french DVD's come without english subs and lesser known gems are always without subs...
in the case you speak some french I suggest:

Raja by Jacques Doillon
La guerre à Paris by Yolande Zauberman
Les Sentiments by Noemie Lvovsky

Actually, I'm currently entering French 4 Honors, but I need to brush up on my french.

I'm not fluent in it, but I figured hey - I love films, especially french films, so what better way to get ready for the school year then to watch some good french films?
