DAWN OF THE DEAD Extended cut in DTS!!!!! The new Anchor bay 4 dvd set, the exteneded cut is only MONO! so Japan does it again I want it if its the long cut in DTS as its the best versioon of the film!

This Japanese release is for the U.S Theatrical Cut(126/7 mins) which Anchor Bay just released as a single disc with a very good DTS mix. The extended/director's/cannes cut is around 139/140 mins.
Shoot me if you will but I am actually not going to jump over the box set on release day (will probably pick it up eventually though). I am happy with my US Theatrical Divmax and Dutch Filmworks 2 disc edition with Cannes and Argento cut plus Document of the Dead (even though the picture quality on that releas is atrocious in generous terms)

I much prefer the mono! So will the director. Anchor Bay would put a DTS soundtrack on anything that moves. Not this time, thank god.

Well comparing the old Mono track which I have always liked, with the new DTS remix was just so different! I heard soo much I have never heard before, it was like a new film, it definatly worked for me, but not sure if a Japanese release would actually come close to the work Anchor Bay did on there version of the Theatrical cut. but sure someone will buy it.
