Green Snake... Mr. Vampire... Good?
 

How are these two films? Has anyone seen them?
Just wondering. Wanna hear some opinions on em. The DVD's are out in Region 3.

Green Snake is a beautifully sureal trip of a movie - if you like crazy fantasy/wire-fu Hong Kong films, this should be a no-brainer.

I've never heard of Mr. Vampire.

I got the (Korean) Spectrum R3 and it is very very good. The movie is great and the video and audio on the disk are top notch. It has an anamorphic transfer and a DTS track. I also found that while it is labeled R3, it plays on my R1 player so I actually think it is R0.

Anyway, if you do a search in this forum for Green Snake you find a couple of threads on it.

I've heard of Mr. Vampire but I don't remember anything about the conversation I had about it years ago. Sorry I couldn't help out there.

Mr. Vampire is a comedy that I found to be *highly* enjoyable. Good fighting, too. (Vampire-fu!)
