How to make Bose Lifestyle 28 DVD player region free

I read some instruction on this site that I can use the following instructions to let my Bose Lifestyle 28 becoming region free (as a work around). However, I do not quite understand the instruction so I tried a few combinations of the following but not being successful. I do not know what to exactly following the instruction so I click the buttone follow the sequence of step 1-5. I am puzzled what I sould do for step 6. I open the disk tray for step 7. then I cleik the button for step 8 and 9. I entered the region number for the DVD I wanted to play for step 10 and I follow the step 11 to click on enter. But it does not work. I did a few various of number 6 and 7 but it is just not working for me. I am just wondering if there are people out there trying to do this and can give me some tips. thanks in advance.

1.Seek Forward Button (right arrow)
2.Tune Up Button (up arrow)
3.Shuffle Button
4.Stop Button
5.Mute Button
6.Then use this sequence to enter specific regions disks to overcome RCE:
7.Open the disk tray first to ensure it works
8.Stop Button
9.Shuffle Button .
10.Region number of the DVD discs sold in that region (i.e. for region 4, press the number 4 button) .

I found this:

Same as what you posted, yet simpler than you have listed it to be. Also, in that post it does not say it WILL work, just that it might.

Also, on another thread from that same forum it states that the code will not work on newer models.
