This movie was a hoot, a mixed hybrid of a movie, that recalled movies like: Strange Invaders, Night of the Comet, and Dead Alive, (with a visual homage to the Japanese one sheet film poster for Romero's 'Dawn of the Dead'). Sure the story seemed all over the place and a tad inconsistent but it was entertaining and very visual. The DVD's audio on the other hand is marred by the dialogue track that is not well intergrated into the rest of the mix, the soundeffects are LOUD and aggressive (pump this puppy the Dolby Digital soundtrack is amazing), the dialogue though is set to low and I was alway's straining to hear what was being said.
Other than that, this is one of the movie where it doesn't take itself too seriousily and is just plain fun.
