The Mummy + Mummy Returns - boxed sets?

I can only find a US release of a boxed set that includes both "The Mummy" and "The Mummy Returns". I see some "special editions" and Superbit versions of the two movies, being sold seperately, but I'd love to get them as part of a set (if one exits).

Are there any boxed sets for the Mummy movies that have been released?

Thanks!

Hi,

same version was released in Germany. But this is also out of print and like the French version no longer available at online stores.

But if you check at ebay you'll find lots of them.

no, it doesn't fold out like the French edition. it's just a box cover that hold two amray plastic cases for each movie.

That's too bad Giles, thanks though.

Silent, you said it was OOP on Amazon.co.uk, but available in the marketplace. What is the marketplace?

I looked on ebay and see a few on sale...I fear purchasing dvd's from ebay, so that'll be my last resort. ;)

You're welcome.

You cannot buy it from that site, it is just a news web, but you can check price around many French sites. Just put the name under "MOTEUR DE COMPARAISON DVD".

Anyway, as Almighty69 says, it is OOP. You can find it second hand if you don't care... Luck ;)

actually i have this uk set - it's a foldout 4dvd digipak with 2 separate booklets
it lacks the senitype shown in the second post in this thread
I can make pictures tommorow if you like

amazon marketplace is buying from different sellers through amazon - the link you see on a products page saying X Used & New from XXX $/GBP etc - I find it more secure and easier than ebay - speaking of which sticking to a very repoutable and checking his feedback should be without problems

sorry, let me clarify that, some pressings of the UK DVD were similiar to the French fold out versions, my British edition , as I described it, wasn't.

According to dvdcompare.co.uk the Mummy Returns dvd of the British box set is cut in one scene.

I would try to get the German or the French version. The German version is uncut, has also booklets and senitypes and comes in a fold out packaging.

You should expect to pay around 40 Euros at ebay.de.

From the BBFC re: "The Mummy Returns"

When submitted to the BBFC the work had a running time of 124m 10s.

To obtain this category cuts of 0m 1s were required., some or all of these cuts were substitutions. The cuts were Compulsory.
Cut required to sight of headbutt, dangerous imitable technique, under the Video Recordings Act 1984, to make the video suitable for the 12 year old audience created by the film.

Mind you, "The Mummy" has a rating of 15 and the sequel could have been restored to it's 15 rating as well.

Thanks again! I'll take a look for the French and German versions, see what I can find on ebay. :) I didn't realize the UK version was edited, thanks for the info on that.

Wish me luck!
