Lady of Musashino problems?

Anyone have any updates on what's going on with the Artificial Eye DVD of Mizoguchi's Lady of Musashino?
I've heard that some people were experiencing problems with the disc and that a recall was being considered.

The only thing I read was that some people with Sony players had the film lock up with about 5 minutes left in the film.
