Is Spectrum R3 The Killing Fields anamorphic?

Sorry if this has been asked before but nothing came up when I searched and I am unable to locate a definitive answer anywhere else.

So does anyone know for certain if the Spectrum R3 (Korean) version of The Killing Fields is 16x9 enhanced?

Both Koreandvds and DVDHeaven list it as Widescreen 1.85:1.....so I assume it's non-anamorphic

This may help:

Strange, the Korean websites all list the DVD as being anamorphic. The DVD was released, like, 3 years ago, though, so I'm not sure. I'd trust the websites and say it's anamorphic.

DVDcompare misses out on many R3 DVDs, The Killing Fields is one of them. It's not on the page.

I've tried to submit a bunch of R3 HK/Korea and R2J titles to DVD Compare. He won't accept just AR and Sound Formats. He wants every single detail and extra on the disc before he'll post it. Whats ironic is he doesn't want the running time, however.

Well that's a bunch of crap....especially when the Video and Sound formats sometimes make the R3 DVD the best option.

Here are 3,

http://www.madmad.co.kr/detail.html?dvd_id=699

Scroll down, you'll see anamorphic widescreen when you hit the DVD specs.

http://www.dvd.co.kr/good_view.asp?g...lling%20fields

Ditto, you'll see the same.

http://www.dvdkorea.co.kr/DVD_Produc...?Inx_Num=42644

This one's written in Korean but right above the Dolby Digital 5.1, Dolby Digital Surround listing is the picture spec. It says 'Animorphic widescreen, widescreen'.

Those are the 3 sites I regularly check. They're usually pretty accurate. If they disagree about something I go check elsewhere, but here they all say the same so I'm assuming the thing is anamorphic.

Well Evita still says 16:9 even after they refunded me for the obvious non-anmorphic disc. (on koreandvds.com)

Does anybody know how the R2 Optimum release for The Killing Fields is in terms of its a/v quality? I know DVDBeaver has review up, but wanted a second opinion. I don't always necessarily agree with his reviews is all.

http://www.amazon.co.uk/Killing-Fiel...2015027&sr=1-2

Or better yet, are there any better releases out there?

Thanks....

Oh, and sorry this is not about the Spectrum R3 like the thread title implies, but didn't want to start a new thread...
