Clerks Anamorphic In Korea
I was checking out the Spectrum website when I saw they had released a Kevin Smith boxset.
Not sure which is the correct cover. http://www.cafedvd.co.kr/image/bigimg/14583.jpg http://www.dvdmovie.co.kr/shopping/p..._kebin_big.jpg In the description, they listed Clerks as being anamorphic. Just thought I would give everyone a heads up. This is listed on both the Spectrum website and the Koreandvds website. I guess it is buy at your own risk. |
I'm holding out for the R1 10th Anniversary DVD release (which hopefully will be later this year, maybe 2005???), which is at least going to be 2 or more discs.

My guess would be both are the correct cover and one is the cover of the DVD and the other is what the slipcase looks like.

As I told Bill in private...I'd watch out with Spectrum. They have a spotty record at best.
|
Actually, one cover is one side of the box, the other is the other side of the box.
The box says anamorphic and I'd trust Spectrum. Biggest problem I have with the set is that Chasing Amy is not the same as the Criterion DVD. |
Anamorphic? The film was shot on 16mm which is full frame. How can it be anamorphic?
|
Amazon says the R1 Clerks is widescreen letterbox, the Joblo review says it's anamorphic. It was probably cropped to 1:85:1 like Evil Dead was.
