Oh yeah! i can't wait to get my hands on this gem. Too bad HKL couldn't get a John Woo commentary & had to mention Face Off & MI:2 on the cover though. :p
Thanks for the heads up, Pro-B! |
Great news - thanks for the heads up!

Finally, I've been waiting forever for this one. I hope HKL did their best possible job on this great film.
|
will this be better than the HK edition I have?

Fantastic news - I have been waiting for this release for years!
Does anyone know if this is the integral version of the film? And running-time info? Thanks, S |

So which one should I get - this one, or the one in the John Woo Collection?
Decisions, decisions... Jeremy |

I just got this in the mail today (thank you, amazon.uk), and it's a pretty sweet set.
The only wierd thing about it is the original Cantonese track. This is a dub track, and a bad one at that. I last saw this movie over 10 years ago on a beat-up vhs, but I don't remember the Chinese being a dub. It is so off, that the English dub matches the characters mouths and expresions much better. It's like a spagetti western, only in Chinese. Other than that (which is no fault of the disc - Woo, or his sound-guy should have recorded the actors better), the review posted above is spot on. PAL aside, I don't see how there could be a better dvd of this movie. |
The original version is dubbed. In fact, most of the HK films before early 90's are dubbed.

Well, there is a link to get it down to 10.49. How you get it for less than that (without using an addition voucher at checkout) is beyond me.
