Than the R1 version? I mean is it noticeable from each version. I would like the most complete, but considering the R1 is a gorefest alreay I am wondering if viewers who have can tell me.

Also, anyone know an actual online place that has the German R2?? I have searched hi and low to no avail. Thanks in advance for all.

You can pick the UK version up for around $12 which is also the full uncut version and very easy to get hold of. A few years ago when I got the US DVD unrated version, I compared it to my uncut uk tape - and submitted the findings to www.imdb.com - check under alternate versions for the differences I found.

I saw a copy of the uncut Japanese laser disc of Braindead and yes there was some more gore. Not all the extra footage consists of blood and guts though, and to me, the unrated US version is a tighter cut of the film, but if you like the film primarily because of the gore, you might want the extended version.

...erm... there is some 12 (twelve!!!) minutes difference in the runtime - so, yes, it is indeed "noticeable from each version"...

. . . . . .

That depends on whether he's referring to the Unrated or R rated version. I am presuming he is reffering to the unrated version since it'd be pretty pointless buying arguably the goriest film ever made minus the gore

In which case there's around 2 - 3 mins max missing. I would say approx 1 min of that is additional gore.

If you're a fan of the film then without doubt it is definately worth it so pick up a copy from choices direct/hmv etc as they ship internationally. Make sure you can play PAL disc ok first
