More Detail about Japanese Kill Bill DVD
Having recently bought the R1 DVD of Kill Bill (yes, it's available here in NYC already) and noticing how little there is in the way of extras, I was thrilled to learn about all the extras on the Japanese release. (Though the extra 5.6,7,8's footage on the R1 DVD is reason enough to own it!)
I found this page which has the specs of the extras on the DVD. Here's my poor translation of what I can decipher from the page: Battle Scene Preview -- seems to contain direct access to the fights with Vernita and Go-Go. Making of the Anime scene - 25 minutes Making of the House of Blue Leaves scene - 5 minutes Original, uncut anime sequence - 8 minutes Cast/crew interviews - 15 minutes Still picture gallery Trailers for both Vol.1 and Vol.2 TV Spots Sorry if I got a few things wrong. I'll be curious to see if all this winds up on the American 'deluxe' version that Tarrantino is planning. |
This is the same version as the box set, right?
|
I'm pretty sure the disc details are the same for both.
|
Thank you! Now I know what's in the second disk in the LE Premium Box.
|
Second disk? Now I'm confused -- I thought the only additions to the box set were the bear, the shirt and the sword.
Is there a second disk? |
On Sensasian.com it mentions a second disc for the boxset but on Amazon it doesn't list it. Hopefully, there is a second disc.
|
Hmmm...looking at the official Japanese Universal Website there is no mention of a second disc in the boxset.
However, I did confirm that the list of extras above is definitely on the single disc release. |
Pretty decent extras for a non "Super" set.
|
From what I heard, the limited and regular Japanese DVDs are the same single disc that contains the film and the above extras. Well, we will all find out for sure in just a few more weeks. :)
