Just noticed this when I stopped by to check something else. Don't think it works for existing accounts, just for new ones created before 4/30/04.
I went ahead and created a new one with a different CC since the only thing I ever bought there was the Mad Max box set 2 years ago.
Picked up the Teshigahara box set -- 500 yen off didn't help much -- still around $187 shipped. Should be worth it though, been wanting this for a long time and finally got the nerve to order it before they ran out of stock.
