Korean DVD Rental Store in Los Angeles

There's a Korean DVD only store in the Koreatown section of Los Angeles. It's called DVD Korea and it just opened. It has the biggest selection of Korean movies on DVD that I've seen for a video store in LA (it only carries DVDs, no videos like most Korean video stores), as well as a big selection region 3 Korean releases of other films.

I just rented the erotic thriller Summertime and the romance Siwolae (In April) there. For anyone near LA who wants to rent Korean DVDs, check this store out. It is located near 2nd & Western Ave and the number there is (213) 386-4942.

Do they sell R3 Korean DVDs also? If they do, I might want to check them out. THanks for the info.

Yeah, you can buy stuff there, too, though it's primarily a rental place.

I don't know what prices he charges, but I'm sure you can try to call him and talk deals. He's a really nice guy.

I meant rental prices. How much does he charge for rentals and how long can you keep them.

Sorry for the late response.

Rentals this month are $2 each for two nights. The price will go up to $3 from April.

In addition, there is a membership fee of $20 that includes some free rentals.

My pleasure. I rented the uncut version of Malena there and to be honest, there wasn't much added to the 92 minute release. I did rent the DVD of "Goodbye, Lenin" and it was a great movie. It is to be released soon on region 1.

By the way, Shaolin Soccer and Spring, Summer, Fall, Winter...and Spring are both playing in LA theaters but DVD Korea has both films for rental.
