If Warner uses the same print for RAN the French did with the recent SE (2DVD) plus subs....watch out....there will be l lot of upset R1 "Masterworks" owners!!

I was not implying that you HAVE to be upset but rather elaborating on the fact that people will be able to see a much improved picture quality, far superior than the Masterworks edition.

Yes..i agree....the same would also happen if R4 release 'Ran' using the Japanese Toho master....as they have with 'Seven Samurai' - using the Japanese Toho master and adding english subs etc.

I'm not a big anti-double/triple dipper. I bought the $100 limited Ran box from amazon, remember?

must....do....more....research.

Hey...you weren't to blame Gut....this was released long after the LE Amazon boxset.
Not mentioning if you don't speak French it won't be of the greatest benefit to you
