Unfortunately I don't know much at all about this release. Here is very little on the Tulse Luper Suitcases:

Had the chance to hear Mr. Greenawa speak last night at the DC screening of "The Tulse Luper Suitcases: Part 1 The Moab Story" and the the 'special expanded event' film version of "Episode 3, Antwerp. Not only did he mention that the Tulse Luper movies would be spread across some 92 DVD's (!).

...and here is some more... and the official(?) site... and yet another site... and still another (official?) site...
...and an older (but definitely "official" !!! ) site... and still another site... and another (click on the lock to open the suitcase!)... and for the Spanish speakers among you, here's another site... and another for the Italian speakers among you (this is an "international" site, after all!)... and one more... and again... and one for the French readers...

...and here is the (R2/PAL) DVD of the first of the movies...

. . . . . .

I knew sooner or later you would contribute, Hendrik. Thank you as always. I checked a few of those sites prior to posting, just wanted to see if anyone had it.

fnordboy, from I've read---though details are nebulous, as usual---the first three parts will have standard dvd releases, those 92 others I think are spinoff's of the film and other experimental works....?

I've been so close to placing an order for this but I'd really like to see a review first to make sure the quality of the disc is decent. Xploited is saying it won't be in stock til the 9th. I read last year that TARTAN was going to release the films in the UK.

In more Greenaway news, DVDFILE has announced that MGM is releasing BELLY OF AN ARCHITECT on June 15th!! (in Region 1 I should say and anamorphic widescreen)

...erm... indeed I didn't, since it was already listed once... listing it again would have been redundant, wouldn't it now...!?!...

...otoh fnordboy wrote: "...Here is very little on the Tulse Luper Suitcases...", which statement "inspired" me to have "my" search engine (the default setting happens to be MSN Search - I'm writing this from the S.L.C. Public Library, where there are some 140 computers with free access to the Internet, available free-of-charge to anyone interested in using them - bless the SLCPL for that!...) look for "tulse luper suitcases" and a lot of answers came up (I didn't quote all of them!!!)... so there!...

P.S. I just love the internet!!!

I ordered it the other night, the only review I was able to find, was just the quick overview here: http://www.wayney.pwp.blueyonder.co.uk/tulsedvd.htm

I checked dvdbasen, but there wasn't anything.
Good news about Belly of An Architect.
