Star Wars Trilogy - Pre order 19th October 2004

This is up for pre order on DVDSOON for $73.98, first time I've seen this on any site and they are normally quite late with their pre order info.

6 Discs.

Does anyone have any more information

Damn... they were early with the Alien Quadrilogy too.

FYI- They charge your credit card as soon as you place your order. Other than that I have never had a problem with them.

I agree they do charge your card early but I've ordered 100's of DVD's from them and had not problems and being located in England they are very cheap when you get free postage and use the coupons.

They also have a current coupon running and on top of that if you order 5 discs more discs you can get free postage.

Coupon code: dvdsjan04 only allowed once per account

For orders between $60 CAD and $150 CAD exclusively, save $3 CAD.
For orders between $150 CAD and $300 CAD exclusively, save $10 CAD!
Any orders of $300 CAD and over, save a towering $30 CAD!

If you are using this in the UK be careful to stager your DVD release dates as DVDSOON will then send each one individually. If you order 5 discs and their release dates are together you will most certainly get done by customs

Could be a bit dodgy with the Star Wars Box Set but willing to risk it as I feel the price of around £32 is very cheap.

Have promised myself not to watch these films until they arrive on DVD.

I'd be wary of letting anyone charge my credit card early for a preorder that hasn't even been officially announced yet. This will almost certainly be delayed if not outright cancelled before the listed street date.

On the other hand...that # of discs (6) sounds promising :)

Uhm, anyone else having problems with the site? Theres no content there...

Why is this in international?

I won't order it unless it includes the original versions of the films.

I'll wait and see. Thanks for the heads up though.

That will never happen. Ever. George Lucas now denies that the movies even existed prior to 1997.

Guess I'll never own it then. *shrug*

I wondered about that yesterday but was too busy to look into it.

Although DVDsoon may be Canadian site, as the prospective release seems to be R1, probably this should have been posted in the main forum.

I'm not going to move this thread. If no-one is talking about it in the main forum and it needs to be reposted then someone can go ahead and do it.
