Attention members from Taiwan.

Does anyone have the Taiwanese " The Long Kiss Goodnite" with Geena Davis & Samual L Jackson. I have heard that it has english DTS audio. Can someone please confirm or deny this for me.
Thanks.

According to DTStech.com:

The only DTS version of Long Kiss Goodnight is this one:

Long Kiss Goodnight
Concorde Home Entertainment
DTS 5.1
Region 2
Germany

...And yes...sometimes info on the DVDTalk 16:9/DTS list is not correct.

I wouldn't totally discount that list. Sleepers was another film from Taiwan that had a DTS track. These discs frequently go out of print and the Sleepers disc has been for quite some time now. Luckily, it has come out in Japan so it's a second chance. No telling if you'll be as lucky.

Most likely it's just no longer in print.

Regardless of in or out of print, dtstech.com would still have it listed as a DTS track.

There are a bunch of films that I have DTS tracks for that aren't listed on there. It IS possible that it's no on the website. No? Or are we to take that as gospel?

I'm from Taiwan, the DTS edition "long kiss goodnight" in Taiwan is not good.
You can wait, maybe R1 will have DTS track edition later.
(Sorry for my poor English) ^_^ This is my first post here.

Thanks teneus, At least I know that it has DTS audio now, I suppose I will wait til another region has it with DTS.

Probably won't happen. LKG is a Warner Bros film and they're no longer doing DTS. They've had movies released as such in other countries (sleepers/Heat) but doubtful that you'll get a stateside release. This film didn't do that well over here and it can be had very cheaply at the moment. I'd be shocked if they do another version.

you never know what a DVD producer might take a shining to doing or revisiting next.

Again...

see the above posting.

This is a Warner Bros. film and they do not do DTS any more. The chances of this happening are slim to none in R1. Other regions you MAY have a chance.

Take note that Warner Bros' re-issue of TRUE ROMANCE has a DTS track.

The Long Kiss goodnight is not a Warner title, it's a New Line title (O.K. it belongs to Warner, but the way they handle their DVDs is totally different, and for what I heard they have independent administration). So for all I know, if there's a re-release there could definitely be a DTS track, since New Line is pretty suportive of DTS.

Wrong. This is Morgan Creek.
