Japanese Resident Evil (Biohazard)?
Does anyone own this disc? I have a few questions:
Is the movie's onscreen title actually listed as "Biohazard", or is that just on the packaging? Has Milla's hospital scene towards the end of the movie been optically censored in any way? How is the picture quality in comparison to either of the R1 discs? Thanks in advance. |
In Japan, the original title of "Resident Evil" is "Bio Hazard" so the name change of the movie is inevitable.

Digging up an old thread to report that I finally have confirmation. The movie's on-screen title during the opening credits is indeed "Biohazard", not "Resident Evil". Completists and variation hunters take note.
Also saw no optical censorship during the "twat shot" (as Milla so gracefully calls it in the audio commentary). The disc appears to have all of the special features from the original R1 disc (prior to the "Director's Edition"), plus the DTS track from the SuperBit. Picture quality looked good in the few scenes I sampled, but I didn't watch the whole thing through, and did not have the SuperBit handy for comparison. |
The German(maybe Dutch) version is the best version, more extras than the other versions (even the new R1 2 dvd) and DTS as well and amazing picture, what more do you want? :)
