Fallen Angels Rerelease: 9/2/03

I wasn't aware this was out of print until I tried to purchase it. However I did find a couple places that show it comes out September 2nd.

At Buy.Com

and

At Overstock.Com

Hopefully (not likely) they cleaned up the transfer somewhat...

I doubt it's a new transfer...looks exactly like the R1 version from Kino that I bought a while ago. Wish someone would come out with a nice transfer like the Chungking Express DVD.

Hi,
I emailed Kino and this was their reply:

"It's a re-release of the DVD under our own Kino label. The FALLEN ANGELS
disc was originally released by Image Entertainment, though our company's
logo was also on the packaging. There are no added features to the upcoming
re-release.

Also, we do not have the video/DVD rights to any other Wong Kar-Wai
pictures, so we will not be releasing additional titles.

I really wish they would have added something or cleaned up the picture if they were going to take the time to re-release it!

Maybe it won't be in a snapper this time? An extremely minor improvement, but one nonetheless...

Also, we do not have the video/DVD rights to any other Wong Kar-Wai pictures, so we will not be releasing additional titles.
Does this mean their other Wong Kar-Wai DVDs are OOP? We've got at least one other (Happy Together) at work that I've been considering if a better disc can't be found.
