Fanfan (Sophie Marceau/Vincent Perez)- 9/17
The second most wanted film on my French list Fanfan (with Sophie) it appears will be released on 9/17. Sadly, as it was/is the case with L'etudiante the preliminary specs indicate no subs!!

o, well.....maybe the British will do something and release some of her movies.....(La Boum, L'etudiante, Fanafan, Marquise.....).

Looks like fnac also offers a version that has Chinese subtitles, but none with English.

I've never seen this film, but I did see there is a new version that came out recently in France w/ Penelope Cruz that is directed by
Gérard Krawczyk (who directed the 2nd two Taxi films).

Brett,
The "Chinese" version is full screen and honestly...in my book is a "boot". Period! Fake and lousy!!
As to the "Fanfan la tulipe"....I am afraid that those are two completely different films we are talking about here....Gérard Krawczyk's film is actually a remake of this old classic with Gérard Philipe:

The R3, possibly R0, HK release is put out by Panorama so I doubt it's a bootleg.

maybe an English friendly verison (I doubt it). It appears to be yet another direct PAL to NTSC Korean port of a French disc.
