They really ought to call it 48, in that case.

I love that packaging. And Elisha looks damn fine in that picture. I don't feel like buying season 1 all over again though. But for someone who didn't already own the series, this would probably be the one to get.

OK, the big question is -- how do we get it? It's not up on any of the etailers I usually use. I was planning to buy R2 anyway (can't wait for the R1) and would spring for the big enchilada. If anyone knows, please post.

Well, since the news post indicated it was only going to be available August 11, I'd assume most etailers will only have it up on their site for order on the 11th.

Not necessarily -- I assumed more likely that they would be shipped on the 11th, but you never know. . .

Is the R2 Season 2 going to be a longer version like Season 1 was?

Great show, but not sure why you would bother with the LE if you already own season 1. Great buy if you don't.

If you already have season 1, basically for really geeky reasons. (I'm getting it, so I can say that). The packaging is much better and there is a tiny bit of additional footage on Season 1 that is interesting to have as a comparison. Also, you'll get a couple of weeks headstart on the packed Season 2 set before it is released in the US.

I will say that unless you're a big fan I thought the PAL speedup was pretty noticable on this title --

Plus I believe this version contains this tasty bit of info:

Spoiler:
In the final episode, Nina finds out that Jack's wife is pregnant before she shoots her. Making her actions even more deplorable.

Anyone know what type of cases these come in? Are they the foldout type or the thin cases?

Does anyone know will this package have more extras or something like that compared to buying Season 1 and 2 separately?

Does not appear so. It's just a special repackaging.

I've now heard a report from someone who received this set that the Season 1 episodes do not contain the longer versions of the later episodes (see above), as were previously released in Europe.

Did anyone else receive this set yet who can confirm?

Can someone who owns the previous "corrected" R2 box set post the time codes for some of the new footage to make comparison easier?

Thanks.
