"lightning swords of death" question
 

I'm only familiar with Lone Wolf and Cub through the American releases and the comic book-- question:
the description of Baby Cart at the River Styx mentions the Gods of Death; are these the guys who wear the straw hats and when the last one dies he says something about always wishing he could kill someone like this, that the sound of the blood spraying from the wound would sound like the whispering of the winter winds......??
