Evita (SE) dts/ntsc- ANAMORPHIC??

The Koreans have this up for sale....is it really anamorphic (and DTS)?

...if anyone confrims this as being anamorpchic...I will be placing an order asap...given that it is NTSC as well.

thank you....I just did email them so we'll see.

On a side note what has been your experience with these guys...there are a few French movies I would like to get from them.

...how do they charge (S/H) you for the set?

FYI...

it's NOT anamorphic.

I could have sworn I started a thread about this a couple of months ago when I found out about it.

I'm getting it for the DTS anyway and just sold my R1 version.

Check out this thread for more info:

As a side note...good to see us all play nice again

btw...there's another version on Koreandvds.com now...

it's $4. I'm wondering if THAT version is actually 16:9.

*sigh*

I should just suck it up and get the Japanese one because I KNOW it's anamorphic.

I'm just really pissed about my korean version. I wish there were some way to write to the company.

I'm considering picking up this R3 Korean version of the film: http://www.koreandvds.com/dvddetail.html?id=10995 and am looking for comments on its video and audio quality.

If you don't mind the audio track being out of sync with the picture, go right ahead

It was a different Evita disc that the PQ sucked on. Thus far, the best version of it (in NTSC) is the Japanese 16x9 version which is the one I have.

Thanks for info -- I'll pass on the R3 Korea version. How is the R1 version you had?

Also, just saw this listing on EzyDVD for the R4 version which shows both an anamorphic transfer and a DTS audio track.

I can't imagine anything worse than watching a MUSICAL with PAL speed-up. As long as that doesn't bother you, then you should be fine.

Oh...that AU version is also in the wrong aspect ratio. Evita is 2.35:1.

the out of sync audio track is sooo distracting. I just got this in the mail yesterday and gave it a sample spin - wow, unreal, thank god it was only five dollars - I think I'll just turn of the film and just listen to the score in 5.1 DTS. Toggling between the Dolby Digital and DTS tracks the latter is dramaticaly superior to the former.

The cover of this DVD states 4x3 2.35:1 !!

TYPICAL OF ROADSHOW R4 - It has no idea what it is doing with its covers !!!
