Lost In La Mancha - R2
 

My friend just borrowed this to me. Great dvd, it was never going to come to the cinema near me (stupid wisconsin), so I'm glad that I got to see it on dvd.

Highly recommended.

Yes. Came in the mail on Monday. I haven't watched it yet, though. There was no insert card in the case and the case wasn't shrinkwrapped. Am I missing something from mine?

Also got mine last week but am yet to watch it - and no, no insert with this one.

can you give a review of the disc please?

There is a 15 minute or so interview w/ Johnny Deep that is a really good watch/listen. I enjoyed it a lot because it showed how he can understand Terry's passion for the project.

There is a 30 minute interview w/ Terry Gilliam also. This man is crazy, but he was engrossing to watch and study. They talked about everything from getting the movie made again to how he feels about the documentary itself. Good stuff.

There's also 2 more interviews w/ some crew guys that I didnt watch.

The sound is normal 2.0 DD as far as I remember. It had the nice "documentary" feel to it, with obviously the dialogue and other things coming out of the front channels, but I still felt enveloped in the sound as it struck me as a sort of "casual conversation" type of thing where you feel like you're actually sitting with these people.

The picture was 1.33 AR (oar, i would suspect) and looked about as good as you would expect from what was probably shot on video. The colors were pretty nice, I didnt see anything wrong with it at all, including the scenes from the real movie that they showed actually looked really nice.

Overall a great disc.
