Versus....Anyone seen it?
 

I've been lookin' into picking up "Versus", a movie described as Sam Rami meets Matrix meets George Romero and many other things...Has anyone else seen it? If so - is it worth pickin up?

I enjoyed it.

I recommend going into it with very low expectations. It is a Hong Kong style (yes I know it is Japanese) over the top low budget gun-fu zombie swordplay often silly splatterfest.

Don't expect the greatest thing ever, but enjoy the ride. I consider it buy-worthy.

Versus question
 

Versus is a great fun ride, although some might find the constant posing of the characters a little annoying at times, in these instances it does play out like a true anime. The zombie violence is great and it actually shows some nice different angles to the usual ways of dispatching them.

Laughable at time because of the killing but I think the movie suck overall.

I enjoyed it a lot but thought it went on too long. Still, worth checking out. After all, a samurai/zombie movie with attitude to burn?! What's not to like?

I found it merely average, overlong and a little dull at times. Don’t believe the hype on this one as it, and the poster campaign, would have you thinking this is way better than it actually is.

Versus is one of the most over the top, fun, and cool movies I've ever seen. I loved it! Yes, its unbelievable, but it worked for me. Expensive as all hell, but worth every cent.

As this topic doesn't seem to be dying (despite Trigger's best efforts), I'll let you know here - the Media Blasters Region 1 release is coming out this summer.

depends on what you want out of it. It's a great movie to just shut your brain off and watch. Lots of fun, lots of blood, and lots of silliness...

The subject asked if anyone had seen it and all I did was post links to 11 other threads that already existed on this topic. That's hardly my best effort. I don't care if this topic goes on.
