Whatever happened to the Criterion Collection version of Knife in the Water that was supposed to be coming out?...Oh well...
What do you think the chances are of these Anchor Bay discs being released r1 too?

Nice! Alas it's only available from the crazy French retailer www.cdiscount.com who don't ship outside France last I looked. Knife in the Water (Polish language) only has French subtitles.
Roll on the UK DVDs from Anchor Bay.

On August 28th Anchor Bay UK will be releasing a four disc set that will include three excellently remastered Roman Planski movies (Knife In The Water, Repulsion and Cul de Sac), eight Polanski shorts (Teethful Smile, A Murderer, Two Men and a Wardrobe, The Lamp, When Angels Fall, The Fat and the Lean, The Mammals and Let's Break the Ball) and a host of decent extra features.
We have received the fully packaged set from Ancor Bay and so far it looks very impressive. It is amongst our list to look at fully, so expect an indepth review sometime soon. Meanwhile you can find menu / package shots and more details here.

Criterion has better PQ,completely different Polanski interview and yet the equivalent of NO chapter stops??

Anchor Bay's Polanski box is a must own for fans of the director. Plenty of extras, commentary, a lot to absorb! I spoke last week with Anchor Bay U.S. There are no plans for an American release of these films.
