This great belgian semi-documentary was FANTASTIC!! (although very violent heh).
Will it be available on DVD in the original french version or am I dreaming?

I don't have the Criterion release myself, but according to IMDB:
The current US region 1 DVD (released by Criterion) is completely uncut restoring all of the cut scenes that appeared only in the European version
