Anyone have the R2 Japanese "Night on Earth?"

Question for anyone who has the R2 Japanese disc of Night on Earth by Jim Jarmusch.

I checked the website and all that is listed is Japanese subtitles. Are there burned in English subtitles on the non-English speaking parts?

This is coming out next week in a nice two pack with Mystery Train and I would love to finally get a copy of this.

Thanks in advance.

I have it, but have not yet got around to watching it (despite the fact I got it almost 2 years ago!!). If I get the opportunity, I will take a look this evening and report back tomorrow.

regards, Tim...

I've got the R2 UK version and the video quality is Top-Notch... Think the Subs are burned in though...

rexinih, I am sorry to say that there are NO English subtitles (burnt in or removeable) in this release... however, note that mine is the original release and I suppose there might be a very remote chance that they have included them for this release... but I doubt it.

Beautiful transfer though

regards, Tim...

Tim,

Thanks for taking time out to check on this for me.
It looks like the new bundle includes the original version you have so it's doubtful it will have any new additions.
Guess I'll have to rely on my Japanese ability for the Italian and Helsinki parts.

Thanks again
