Ah crap. It's really embarassing that there is no decent version of this dvd out. The only one worth buying is really the japanese version, but that one is expensive as hell. And it's only in 2.0.

For $10, the Fox disc is pretty good.

It was cut by the director for an R rating. You've probably bought hundreds of films that fit that description.

Well yes, but then I would rather buy the uncut Swedish or Japanese discs, even though the Swedish disc is non-anamorphic and 2.0, and the japanese disc is expensive as hell. My point is that the NC-17 version is out there and availiable. So why settle for anything less?

Well, so far I own a copy of the film on DVD, and you don't.
The cuts to the film are a total of 7-11 seconds, and are unnoticable unless you're specifically looking for the shots of gore. The US Fox disc even has the un-edited bar scene as a deleted scene. When I first compared the two scenes, I didn't notice any difference besides a different musical cue.
Of course, the US disc is non-anamorphic as well, so it has other strikes going for it. Still, for 10 bucks, you get the film letterboxed, with deleted scenes and a new director's commentary. So it's not a bad deal.

"...It's the danish release and yes it's uncut."
PLUS ... it's got "Dolby Digital 3.0: Engelsk" - which is one-up on the Swedish disc, which has only got 2.0...!...
