Fantasy Mission Force (Region 2)

Has anyone watched the recently released R2 Fantasy Mission Force at Play.com.?

Is the picture and sound quality any better than the awful Telefilms/Beverley Wilshire R0 version?

I wouldn't buy that movie with your money!

Just kiddin' I just remember watching that movie and almost throwing up thinking what the hell came over me and ordering this movie.....

...well... here's a <a href="http://www.geocities.com/pistolsblazing85/MovieReviewsFantasyMissionForce.html">review</a> of the movie... and here's <a href="http://www.badmovieplanet.com/unknownmovies/reviews/rev157.html">another</a>...

...remember, children: one man's shite is another man's manna from heaven!...

Thanks Hendrik for the reviews - They certainly do highlight the complete ridiculousness of the film - which is why I like it so much (almost on a par with For Your Height Only).

What I was wondering though was had anyone actually seen this R2 release, and whether the picture and sound quality was any better than Region 0 versions like the Telefilms version.

I'm not expecting HKL standards, but was hoping for something better than a Long Play video transfer

...ahh... fwiw... I did read a review of a DUTCH multiple disc set of ye very olde Jackie Chan movies - which included this particular title, the only one in the set that featured an anamorphic widescreen transfer, but one that looked pretty near awful nevertheless, due to very worn, faded, dust-encrusted, nicks- cracks- spots-'enhanced' source material used...

...I suspect you shouldn't expect too much from the R2 release...

. . . ;) . . .
