Anyone Own Conan The Barbarian SE Region 2?
I am a very very big Conan The Barbarian fan, and I own the Region 1 SE and it's great except for the crappy Dolby 2.0 Mono mix. I was lookin around and saw that the Region 2 has a 5.1 mix. Does anyone here actually own the region 2 version??
How aggressive is the sound mix, and would you consider it a worthy purchase for an audiophile?
Also, I used to order a few Region 2 titles from www.dvdwild.com, but they shut down. Now I don't know any reliable places to buy Region 2 DVD's from....or any other regions for that matter. Can anyone offer some great places to buy other region dvds from??
Thanks

I've got the region 2 NTSC version from Japan. I haven't seen it for awhile but I'll give it another view this weekend and post back here.
I noticed that the price will drop in Nov to 2,500 yen (about US$20) so you'll be able to get it for a fairly decent price at that time.

I got mine from www.ezydvd.au R4
My Reg. 4 has 5.1 and and a alternate ending, versus R1 crappy mono. Sure looks and sounds good, nice it have a quality chipped JVC with s, y, scaling. To scale it to look animorphic from non-animorphic 2.35:1

I heard that some voices (or other pieces) are missing from one choral piece of Basil Poledouris's score on the 5.1 track. This could be the resurrection scene before the final battle, I'm not sure. Just something I saw mentioned in another forum.
