Officially stopping you.
There's a R2 release you can get at Benson World. The transfer, however, is awful.
It's the only one available though, so... how much do you like the film?

I've got this and it is indeed a great dvd...
As for the R1, if you recall the new spinoff company of Fox Lorber, Koch Lorber, was going to release a dvd of La Dolce Vita last month, but apparently Paramount said they have the rights to the film and they're preparing their own DVD release. So in the meantime the titles is stuck in legal limbo here in the States...

I have the Korean version and it isn't anamorphic. Quite strange when it could've easily been it. The movie's also only 167 minutes long for some reason (or so my DVD player says). Don't know why it's that long, so asking me is useless. The DVD company, AltoDVD is usually good to their movies... Anyway, I've never seen the movie before so I can't compare it with anything. I'm looking in Truffaut Fan's direction for the explanation. The 2-disk set does have 2 cushy docs, though. Roughly 2 1/2 hours for both, plus a few other tiny things. The packaging is also fun but it's hard to get the DVD in or out of the plastic bag.
