Great! no mention of a Region 1 release? cause it seems every time to getting around to buying an import the domestic edition is just announced.

The third series will be out soon in region 1.

that's no help Robbert, I.... WANT....TALES... OF...THE....CITY! What the hell is taking so long to release a Region 1 edition?

Tales Of The City DVD is to be released in the United States (Region 1) on November 5, 2002.

I had just ordered the region 4 version but have cancelled that one again seconds ago!

Tales of the City picture quality
 

Can anybody comment on the picture quality/ transfer of "Tales of the City" from region 4?
I just received the region 1 version and the picture quality is pretty bad, no better than a VHS tape, and it's on 3 discs instead of 2 (like the region 4 edition). Is the region 4 version any better?
