what will happen if you try to play a PAL disc on NTSC player???
|
"what will happen if you try to play a PAL disc on NTSC player???"
...ahh... nothing...?... . . . :o . . . |
you try to play PAL on an NTSC player and it'll look like scrambled porn with a vertical hold problem.

I`ve got one at amazon.co.uk for £12.33 :) That was a great deal.

(I've got all the info memorized) Sad part is, about 2 months ago I had to get a re-issue and had the new number memorized in less than 24 hrs. -Well, I currently own the R3 DVD from HK, the VCD, and the Tartan NTSC R0. I think I'm calling it quits for rebuying it anymore. :) Cheers, Gabe |

Originally posted by pythonomad Chances are they'll have the NTSC up in a few months, like they did last time 'round... unless the US actually releases it*. *and even if it did get a US release, I imagine it would be with nine minutes cut, with a different soundtrack, etc... This movie has poison written all over it. |
Oh, how I long for the days when words like "controversial" and "dangerous" meant a movie was going to sell like wildfire. :( Anyway, BR is going to be released here in Finland soon, and in theaters too! I'm glad to have gotten the ball rolling early by passing positive word of mouth to all of my friends when I first saw the film around March.
Anyway, no way am I buying that R2 SE if it's going to be that expensive. The £20 region is reserved for old $39.95-MSRP Criterions in my book. Screw Britain's inflated prices! |
Originally posted by Crazy Aoshi No, nothing against English subtitles. But I got it a few months ago, and my Japanese skills have been enough for me. Taishita koto wa nee sa. The Japanese R2 special version is 16X9 and progressive NTSC. Is the UK version the same? Game over ya! It is 16x9 and the extra 100 lines of resolution inherent in PAL certainly will help it look the best it can. I pray Tartan don’t screw up the transfer. Does anyone know if the making-of docu on the second disc is the same as the Battle Royale Gaiden disc? Or excerpts, etc.? That disc also has an interview with Kitano like this SE, so that makes this set even more attractive if so.

so how soon till they come out with this ultra special edition NTSC version with DTS?
