Love Letter (1995)

I just saw this movie and being a closet-chick-movie-watcher, I was hesitant to check it out.

Lo and behold, it reminded me of both In the Mood for Love and Blue.

Guys, you don't have to worry about gushy scenes in this one, but it sure is enjoyable to watch, especially with all the subtleties.

No need to apologize for liking it. It's an excellent film and I'd highly recommend it to anyone and everyone.

I'll second (er...third) that - I caught Love Letter at a film festival a few years ago and jumped at it when I saw it was available - on a very good dvd which includes a soundtrack cd as well. One of the most satisfying endings of any romantic movie.
