"Ring 2"PAL & Malata 520
 

I purchased both "Ring" and "Ring 2" REG 2 PAL.
"Ring" plays fine through STILL filter on Malata 520 yet "Ring 2" has conversion difficulties when played through this same filter.
Any ideas, suggestions, or observations?

Crazy suggestions

1-try giving the disc a clean and see what happens
2- turn player off and on again

Sorry, but all the Tartan Ring series will shimmer under all filters.


THERE IS NO FIX FOR IT.

Just keep it on Movie and enjoy it.

Cleaning will not fix it and turning off the player will probably kill your settings.

I don't think you can save your settings on the 520 anyway. You have to turn the machine on and off on the machine, unlike the 996 there is no standby.

Oh. I wonder why the old model is 996 and the new model is 520.
They should've at least called it the 997 or 5200.
