Men Behind the Sun?
 

Anyone know where I could find a release of the Japanese film Men Behind the Sun? Is there even an official release anywhere out there? Any thoughts about the film are welcome also considering I just heard about this from a guy at the tattoo shop earlier today.

...ahh... <a href="http://www.epinions.com/mvie-review-7965-9C2C0F2-392C2EF1-prod1">MEN BEHIND THE SUN</a> is a Hong Kong movie about Japanese atrocities supposedly perpetrated during WW2... it is doubtful the Japanese themselves would make a movie about such things (no more than that the Germans would make a movie about Nazi concentration camps)...

Hmmm... Covers are different. Both are listed at 104 min. Not sure if there's a difference or not...

The "Men Behind the Sun" Region 0 release has a reversible cover so you get two choices of artwork.

One of the sickest films I've ever seen (which isn't necessarily a bad thing).

Be forewarned, the film's not that great. Dubious as a historical document, and fairly weak as a gore job, although the de-gloving scene and a couple of others are reasonably potent.
