"Blade" Japanese DTS issue

Regret to inform that I'm very disappointed with the DTS track on this..the DD5.1 has more thump on it (checking out the club scene). The DTS is a bit more trebly if anything.

Now this seems to be another case similar to the first "Jurassic Park" R1 DTS issue. (BTW Universal are sending me the correct 2nd. pressing for this).

For those who have got more contacts than me, I would appreciate it if you could advise on here one day soon if this is going to be re-pressed by the Japanese as the fault seems the same.

Much appreciated....be careful out there!

I just received Blade dts today but haven't checked it out yet. I had read a few days ago at another forum that the sub channel was weak but my order was already in transit. I too, want to know what if anything can be done with this disc.

What's wrong with the New Line Platinum R1 version of Blade? Why spend double the dough for the Japanese version?

For the dts track of course. I thought New Line's Dolby track was outstanding and couldn't wait to hear Blade in dts. Sadly, I didn't know the disc was defective until it was too late to cancel my order.

That's too bad... Japanese discs are expensive and just for a DTS track and to have it be defective is just really terrible. Hope you can recover your loss. The movie has to be practically unavailable elsewhere for me to buy it from Japan. Maybe they'll come out with a Superbit of Blade or something...

Superbits are Columbia-TriStar. Blade is a New Line picture.

I knew someone would bring that up - that's why I said "or something"

Well I watched Blade dts on Wednesday night. The sub was noticeably dull but all I had to do was adjust the settings on my sub and it sounded amazing! I can't complain over a minute problem like that. I'm happy with my purchase.
