I made my first order from this etailer this week and when I put an item in my cart, the price drops. For instance the Space BBC documentary is listed at 18.99 but when I go to checkout the price drops to 16.16 then the shipping is added for a total of 19.24. Not that I'm complaining but am I missing something?

if you are like me and living in the states, they take out the VAT or value added tax or whatever it's called. basically a european tax of somewhere around 15%. this is one of the main reasons that i get R2 stuff from amazon as opposed to other places. i haven't found one yet that will take out the VAT.

The UK VAT rate is 17.5% which is only chargeable on sales within the EU.
