Reviews: My Wife is a Gangster & MUSA

-My Wife is a Gangster
Action/Comedy
-The basics: A story about a woman Cha Eun-jin (played by Eun-Kyung Shin), who is a gangster, well-placed within her organization (mafia). She locates her long lost sister who is dying from a terminal disease. Her wish is to see her sister married before she dies. So Eun-jin instructs her thugs to find her a suitable husband. Many humorous moments ensue due to Eu-jin's masculine traits and male-oriented thinking/tactics. Eventually she does find a suitable match and marries him. (Enter the husband, Sang-Myeon Park as Kang Su-il, you may recognize him from The Foul King and Nowhere to Hide) Husband knows nothing of Eun-jin's occupation, treating her as he would an ordinary housewife. Events occur within the mafia world that keep Eun-jin busy and eventually Su-il discovers what his wife really does for a living.
Okay, no spoilers, I'll stop here. This film is an action/comedy but the emphasis is definitely in favor of comedy. Only 3 major action scenes (very good though, Eun-jin appears to do her own stunts). If you know differently, speak up. :)
This is a great movie, and one worth repeat viewings.
Highly Recommended! :thumbsup::thumbsup:
Score= 9/10

-Musa
Action/Drama

I'm going to watch it again in the next few days. I'm hoping that I'll like it more with another viewing. I'll put up my official thoughts after the 2nd viewing. Don't get me wrong, it's a beautifully shot film... but admittedly, I was tired for the first viewing, so I probably didn't appreciate the film as much as much as it deserves... :)

I also recently watched Attack the Gas Station, if anyone would like a review, just ask...

Until then,
Cheers,
Gabe

MWIAG was a little of a let down for me. I think because of the trailer though. All it showed was action, so that's what I went into it thinking. Don't get me wrong, I liked it, thought it was pretty funny, but it was a one timer for me. Glad I saw it. I think I would of liked it more if I hadn't seen the trailer.

I haven't had a chance to watch MUSA. I want to have enough time, and not be tired like you said.
